100% OF DONATION FUNDS REMAIN IN OKLAHOMA

Apache Issues Corporate Challenge And Offers To Match $500,000 In Donations For Fund To Build Storm Shelters And Safe Rooms For Oklahoma Schools

Shelter Oklahoma Schools was established following the devastating May 20th tornado that hit Oklahoma, and destroyed several elementary schools including Plaza Towers Elementary School where seven children lost their lives. The purpose of the fund is to provide storm shelters in and around Oklahoma schools and communities. The fund was started to help Oklahoma for generations to come and it will work with local schools and municipalities to address the issue of protecting our children by equipping our schools and public places with adequate shelter. 100% of the donations will stay in Oklahoma.

The fund was created on May 22nd, 2013 and has already raised almost $1,000,000. It was started by a $100,000 seed donation from Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge.

Shelter Oklahoma Schools is administered by the Oklahoma City
Community Foundation. Gifts to the fund receive the maximum tax
benefits allowed for charitable gifts.
